We just went to watch the races on one of the waystations and had a picnic!

[Clearly from the state of his attire and his sneaking in, there was a little more to it than "just" watching the races, but thankfully, with her augment unglitched she keeps that thought to herself, knowing that that sort of thing makes him uncomfortable. No waggling eyebrows.]

Unfortunately, I haven't made it to any of the races myself, but they sound like a lot of fun. It's a good choice for a date, especially while you're still getting to know one another.

Mm, it was fun to watch! Though it's not like there's much else to do right now... [What with being out in the middle of nowhere and everything]

Though, embarrassingly, I ended up falling asleep there. Probably ate too much food.

[Aww Allen! To her credit, Beverly does take him at his word, that all he did was fall asleep.]

Don't be embarrassed! I'm sure he didn't mind. In fact, I'd be willing to bet he found it endearing.

[Partially because it is a truth universally acknowledged that someone you're dating falling asleep on you is adorable and partially because she is a biased space mom who can't imagine Allen's date not liking him.]

He's very sweet. He even went out of his way to learn how to make my favourite food- without me even telling him what it was!

I...think so? I hope so. I told him to message me if he wanted to go out again, and he did say "definitely"...!

You think so? I'd say that's a pretty resounding "yes!"

I guess- I'm trying not to get my hopes too high. My luck's not very good.

But really, it does sound like he likes you and you like him, so just... try not to worry about the future too much right now.
